Three arrested over disturbances at NDC congress

Three people have been arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police Command in connection with the violent disturbances at the NDC regional executive elections in Kumasi on November 13, this year.
The police are also looking for other people who were part of the trouble.
A statement signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mr. Godwin Ahianyo, Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer, and released in Kumasi on Monday said that the suspects and their accomplices were involved in different crimes, including assaulting a police officer.
They used a device to spray pepper on some people and then got into a fight in which one of them got hurt.
Yahya Shaibu Tia, Fati Ibrahim, and Husein Yakubu are the people who were caught.
The statement said that the suspects were being held while investigations were going on and that efforts were being made to get the accomplices arrested so that they could face justice.
