Screen all guests for COVID-19 – Ghana Tourism Authority

Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has directed all tourism and hospitality industries to screen all guests for COVID-19 before giving them access to their facilities, Mr. Akwasi Agyemang, Chief Executive Officer, announced in Accra as the entire Ghana puts in place precautionary measures to ensure the country is safe.
Bars, hotels, restaurants and all service providers within the tourism industry are to adhere to the safety rules and the orders of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA).
At a meeting with industry players, in Accra, Ghana capital city, Mr. Agyemang said the Authority would continue to ensure the safety of industry players and guests.
On Friday, our news team visited some five-star hotels in Accra and found out that, apart from nose mask worn by security at the entrances of the hotels, no other measures were put in place to ensure the safety of the facilities and visitors.
