NAGRAT to fight decision by GES to compel 10 percent rent deduction of teachers’ salaries

The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) through their President, Angel Carbonu, has made a decision to fight directive by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to compel their members to pay rent for living in government bungalows.
This was revealed in an interaction with Joy News by Association President, Angel Carbonu in response to the official letter from GES which required teachers living in government bungalows to pay rent including arrears.
Apparently the teachers who live in bungalows do so to supervise students in the boarding schools.
He threatened that the teachers would leave the students to themselves if they are compelled to pay the rent and any such related arrears.
