Kudus is as talented as Vinicius jnr, Mbappe and Mo Salah

Dr Ernest Koranteng, a consultant specializing in sports business, media and marketing communication, has presented a challenge for Ghana and Mohammed Kudus, West Ham star, to secure a spot among the world’s top players by recovering his form that drove him into the worldwide recognition between 2021 and 2023, after facing challenges at club and international levels this season.
Mohammed Kudus, who made himself one of the best player in Ghana and Africa’s finest between his last season at Ajax Amstardam, 2022 Ghana’s World Cup campaign and his remarkable appearance at West Ham United last term, has faced difficulties since August 2024 with disappointing performance for the club and country.
Mohammed Kudus’ underwhelming form this particular season has been the reason for the concern. He failed to match his previous season’s performance that propelled him into global attention, aspiring to become one of the best player in Ghana and landing a high-paying contract to West Ham United last season.
His modest return of 3 goals and 1 assist in 22 English Premier League appearances this season is a significant drop from his impressive debut season where he amassed a notable contribution across 42 English Premier League and Europa League matches. Kudus’ uninspiring form was partly blamed for Ghana’s shocking elimination from the Morocco2025 African Cup of Nations, Ghana’s first since 2004.
Some people blame Kudus’ uninspiring form on West Ham’s coaching challenges that has seen David Moyes steeped in at some point this season with Graham Potter.
Dr Ernest Koranteng, sports journalist and Chief Executive of The Business Africa Consulting Group Limited, is convinced that Mohammed Kudus has the potential to revive his season by playing an inspiring position in the Black Stars critical two-game stretch of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying games, in March against Chad in Accra and to Madagascar away.
Dr Ernest Koranteng looks forward to kudus to remove his recent underwhelming display in the Black Stars by taking the club to dominant victories in both games. Dr Koranteng said on TV3 Sports Station that “Each outstanding player will experience their performance downturn at club and international level in their career and all that Mohammed Kudus has been facing for the past months has an end. I challenge Kudus to step in the ranks of top players in the world with Vinicius Jnr, Mbappe and Mo Salah.”
Everyone is expecting Mohammed Kudus to turn things around in the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers with Chad and Madagascar matches.
