Breaking News: Magnitude Earth Tremor Strike Accra and Its Environs

A magnitude 5.8 earth tremor shook Ghana on Wednesday evening around 10:40 p.m. The epicenter was located in Accra.
The shallow earthquake was so powerful that people felt it as far away as Kasoa, Amasaman, Tema, Adenta, Dansoman, James Town.
Over 10,000 people reported feeling the tremor just minutes after it was recorded. Many claim the shake was felt 3 times
The last most dangerous earth tremor in Ghana occurred in June 1936, around 7:30pm, lasted between 20-30 seconds, killing 17 persons and over 135 injured.
Before that, in 1862, every major stone building in the Gold Coast was razed down by Earthquake.
