PRESS RELEASE
Graduate Teachers with License
Graduates from the University of Education, University for Development Studies, and University of Cape Coast who read Bachelor of Education (B.ED) write to seek clarification from the Ministry Of Education and Ghana Education Service with regards to the yet to be recruited teachers in September 2019.
There is communiqué circulating around that Teacher trainees from the various colleges of Education who have passed the license exams and are through with national service will be posted permanently in September 2019.
Graduates from these three universities who read the programme enumerated above would like to know what makes our colleagues from the training institutions different from us which makes them suitable for this preferential treatment.
We want to draw the attention of the Educational Minister and NPP Government to the fact there are graduates from the various universities who have passed the licensure exams and have also served the one year mandatory national service program hence, we plead with the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service to reconsider their decision and include the Graduate Teachers in its plan of recruitment.
We hope to hear from the Educational Minister very soon if not, we are also going to demonstrate and vote massively against them in the next general election.
